Yesterday was a long day.
I started the day with a 4 hour farming session.

After that we did the Gration fight, and I got the shield. Its a good piece for my THF when im not subbing NIN. So THF/SAM, THF/WAR, THF/DNC will use this piece.



In the evening we did Dynamis-Beaucedine, not a good run for currency but we got some good AF drops. I got the BLM coat.

We did 2 ENMs again today. Got 1 Cloud evoker and 6500 more limit points, which went into some BLM merits. Thinking of adding some sort of matrix on this page with my merits. (Edit: OK, there is now a section to the right with my merits in. This was a bit depressing, I need to to more merit parties.. ><

We did did Proto-Omega again today. And the freakin' body dropped!
And on top of that i was first in line for feet, so I got those too!!!!

Update time

I never got to play yesterday. SE managed to cockblock me with a 6 hour download time for the update.

BUT HOLY SHIT! The new gear is looking awesome.

Going to be working on my merits for BLM for awhile now. So much to get and now they are raising the merit cap also ^^.


Today is the BIG version update. I am so looking forward to this. There is soo much good stuff happening in it, new moogles, new pop HNMs, merit cap, WOTG missions... How can I possibly find time to experience all this? Maybe I should leave work early and start the update download..yes that sounds good...

Been working on my fishing-skill. Turns out that Cheval Salmon is great for skillup at my range, and i've gotten it up to 18 now.

Yesterday we had Dynamis-Xarkabard, we got a WAR,DRK,NIN,WHM AF drops which was ok I guess.

RDM sub finished!

Yesterday was a pretty good day. First me, Daz, Betty and Roi did "Shall we dance". Got crap drops but atleast this time we cleared it fast and without problems.

After that Seraphi got together and killed Xolotl, which dropped B. Kotes with Avy got for his Samurai.

I then, as I so faithfully pledged earlier this week, managed to get my RDM sub up to 37. Much due to the fact that i used up my Anniversary Ring.

We then had a free day, since we postponed the Bahamut V2 fight that was planned. I unlocked the Dark Knight job (Im thinking of leveling this..) and then decided I should work on my Fishing. I read up on what would be a good skillup fish and it really went awesome. I went from level 10 to level 14 in 2 hours!

Did a Proto-Ultima yesterday, went fine and we got double legs which was awesome since we had a lot of people wanting those.

Went fishing afterwards for Angel skins, but no luck, 0/5 yesterday.

Got my RDM to 32 by now, hope to finish leveling it to 37 by the end of this week, will see how it goes.. Cant play today (friend's bday party) and this friday im gona get hammered! Im turning 31 and it will require an insane amount of alcohol to make me forget this. Hence i cant play friday (and my performance on saturday/sunday will probably be sub par >< )

Well yesterday we did Proto-Omega again, and what do you know.. no effing body again. We got 2x Eyes (aka. 2 Nazi helmets), making this the worst drops ever i think. ><
Atleast 1 chip dropped so that speeds up the process a bit to do a new bossfight..

Today I'm taking a day off from FFXI, going to see a concert in Stockholm. dEUS! Will be fun.

BLM night and day!

Yes, I've finally got BLM up to 75, (actually got it like a week ago) and I have done alot of stuff on it since. Put some MP-merits on it but there is more needed and all those other fancy merits.
The reason I'm posting this short post today is to tell you I got my first Zenith Gear piece uncursed, to be used with my HP-down macro for Sorcerer's Ring (when I get it). The HP down swapgear will be quite alot of stuff considering I'm Galka and need to bring it down approximately 100hp more than a Tarutaru does (since its % based).
I guess my HP merits doesn't help either..

Quick BLM update.

It's scary how long it has taken me to level this job. Just checking the dates on the last few posts shows how long it just takes to get a few levels, and BLM has been like the only thing I have exped during this whole time too! Thanks to campaign I im currently at level 74, with about 30k to go until level 75. After that I just need to cap the buffer, and I'll do my merits on THF or SAM.
I got a few points saved up which i'll invest in BLM as soon as I hit 75.

I'm curently struggeling with cash also, have gone below a 100k which is not very good, so I have to start farming again. I need 60k each week just to cover the cost for our 2 limbus runs we do.. And I dont plan on missing any of those.

A short update

Nothing special to report. I have got my BLM up to 71, and I just realised that this job will take up soooo much MH space, there is lika a gazillion things needed for gearswaps, and it aint cheap either. So much for pimping out my THF and SAM ><.
We have done a few Bahamut V2 fights which went good, (fight was over in 30seconds). Done the usual jailers, Dynamis and Limbus. Still waiting for that damn Homam body to drop, I guess I'm just not destined to have it..

Not much to report.

I have been grinding on my BLM, it is level 67 now. Have done some gear updates on it which is nice, but I need to free up some more gil to get some more stuff.


BUT, the big difference is that i finally have my Swift Belt on for my THF and SAM. I got it on my 4th try which I guess is not too bad. Seraphi went two Sundays in a row and did 7 pops total, 6 of those dropped the belt. Thats an awesome droprate!

I have been lazy with updates..

..but I have nothing really impressive to report. We have done the usual events every day, Sky, Limbus, Dynamis, Ouryu Comet and a few Kirins. Hopefully we can get the last 3 or 4 Kirin pops done so we can go back to Sea again. Sky is nice and all, and I still miss some gear from it but it is is kind of boring.. The thing I still enjoy the most is Limbus, I'm now first in line for the Homam body, just hope it will drop next time. We have started splitting up in 2 groups, and do 2 zones at a time, so we get more coins. Last time we got 8 coins each with is nice for the wallet.
I'm still struggling with lveling my BLM, is currently level 64 and my I try to hit Campaign as often I can on it, but the exp cap is still kind of low in Campaign for this level. A 30 minute session usally net me around 960exp.

Dynamis Windy

We did Dynamis Windy today, clearance for those who needed it, 9 AF drops, a 100 piece AND the final THF AF2 i needed to complete the set ^^.

Yesterday I experienced to worst incident I have ever seen in FFXI. We were doing Dynamis-Sandoria, and when we had about 1 hour left, we suddenly noticed Kleindanger from Ambition was lotting on the treasure pool, we was like "what the fuck is that asshole doing in here", they ninja lotted a few coins and a RDM AF that was in the treasure pool. We was stunned, just stood there and wondered how the hell he got inside. Then we see Klendanger, Zaagi and Andastra run to us with the western part of the repopped mobs following them. Massive MPK, at this point there is no reason for us to go on killing since we cant stop them from ninja lotting the items. After awhile the start casting Raise on a few of our linkshell members. We say to them "Don't get up, they will just train more mobs here and kill you again." but some of the guys got up, and sure, they proceed to position hack around to all the corners of the zone agroing everythin including the megaboss, and mpks us again. We have by now filed a GM complaint (or several afaik). Some of us drop our glasses, the ones down with no raise (like me) just quits the game.
When i got back on today I was laying face down in Sandy, got a Raise 2 tho so it was ok.
We still dont really know how Ambition LS got a hold of a glass, but hopefully, and I as far as I can interpret from what the GM has said, they will take action and get those stinking cheating germans of this server and permbanned. If you who read this know Kleindanger, Zaagi, Andastra or anyone else of those cunts in Ambotion, tell them they are a fucking disgrace to their country, the game and that I'd remodel their face if I was ever to meet them IRL.

The weekend's report

Friday, we did Dynamis Bastok. Clearance, some nice AFs and 447 currency dropped. Also did a run on Salvage with the new Salvage group.
Saturday we did Salvage and then Limbus. Went Fine. Got the Usukane lvl15 piece, and 4 coins from Limbus.
Sunday I did a few Assaults to get points to enter Salvage. We then did Salvage, but had bad luck with cells. Nothing good dropped.
After that we did 2 more KS99 runs. No speedbelt dropped this time either.
We have 4 orbs left to do (next week) after that Sundays will be "Ouryu Comet"-day for a while.
That will be fun, haven't done that one before.

Yesterday I got on late, had a dinner planned with work, kicking of the new year. I got somewhat drunk, and when I eventually got home the LS was already up in Sky.
We did a MG, Faust and 2 Ulli. I fell of my chair, broke my mouse and injured my elbow.
FFXI is a dangerous game.

Ranger time

Yesterday we did Dynamis-Buburimu. Was great fun, and we got some very nice drops. Not much currency tho.. Before that I did my first Nyzul Isle Assault, was interesting but we failed. Apparently we had bad luck with the mobs we randomly got. I'm getting sick and had a splitting headache and a fever so I was more or less in a bad mood the whole time, and didnt really feel like doing the Dyna run, but I'm glad I did. Also the drops will help the LS a great deal, and that makes me feel good. If there is something I've learned since I gotten into the endgame thing is that there is no place for envy and I tend to just ignore the drama stuff. It's those things that finally get people to just say "fuck it", make a lot of enemies and in the end get the shaft when it comes to getting stuff for themselves. My plan is to be as helpful as possible and do my job, that way when the drops I would benefit from comes, I should have a much better chance of getting them.

Figured I should get the subs I can use for my level 75 jobs up to 37, which more or less means that the only one that still needs some leveling is Ranger. It is currently level 14 so i need another 23 levels for it.
Started to gear it up yesterday after our Dynamis run, and noticed att the Iron Arrows was sold out on the AH. No problem, my wood working was just 4 levels below the cap for making those I was gonna get some arrowheads, Chocobo fletchings, and Arrowwood lumber. Well waddayaknow, no arrowheads on the AH either.. So I had to buy the ingredients for those, and had Jamibian help me synth them. Very nice of him! Then i got stuff for the fletchings, and Arrowwood logs also, since there was no arrowwood lumber. So suddenly my inventory was smack full, and I haven't even completed my gear I was gonna wear. Muling, muling and more muling.

Well, then i got some new nifty rings, a bow, a body and trousers. Will continue the gear shopping once i get home later today. Hopefully I can get on a quick party in the dunes before Limbus that is planned for tonight. I remember I liked ranger 0-14, the damage you dealt was superb, and if you just spammed arrows you pretty much was tanking nonstop. I was kinda poor at that time tho so i mostly meleed. This time around I got PLENTY of arrows and plan to use them a lot. Should be fun.

Finally an update..

..I've been kind of lazy but I will try to sum up what has happened the past weekend.
Saturday, did a few merit parties, some Campaign plus got a new medal (first 1 of Tier 2). In the evening we did Limbus (Central Temenos Floor2 if I remember correctly). We cleared and got 4 coins each.

I was getting low on cash and I had an urge to buy something to "celebrate" the year passed and what not..I figured that even when I'll get my Homam body, I still will want to keep my Scorpion Harness for an evasion build setup, and until I get the Homam body (which could take awhile if we are unlucky) im going to be TP-ing in my SH. Sooo..why not buy a SH+1? The price is kind of right now, but on the other hand cash is hard to get nowdays.. Well, I parked myself in Rolanberry Fields over the night selling about 55+ coins and a few Dynamis coins I stole from mobs. Woke up and was 650k richer! So i bought the SH+1. Got it for 800k. That is for sure one of the few non rare/ex items that i know I will never sell. +12 evasion and +12 accuracy is not bad.

Sunday we had soem KS99 runs scheduled, I was short on seals so I headed out to Bhauflet Tickets to farm Kindred seals. Droprate was awful, I got 19k exp(!!!), so you can imagine how many mobs i killed (get about 40 exp/kill). Hehe, about 340 mobs according to my calculator.. Well i got 17 seals, making my total 97 (2 seals short!!). Well, we are planning another run next week and ill make sure to have a orb ready for then.
We did 3 runs, 1st went smooth, 2nd was a disaster, but we managed to win in the end, 3rd was super smooth. I captured all the fights on video, and will put up a link here when i edited them.
Drops was so-so, no speedbelts.

Today i did some Campaign on BLM, Merited on THF (only got 1 more merit), and later we did Dynamis-Jeuno with the LS.

Alchemy, fun but expensive!

Today i have mostly farmed for Alchemy synths and done some skillups, and A LOT of muling.
Things are getting quite expensive even though I farm all crystals and atleast 40% of the materials.. I'm currently at 26.1 doing "Eye Drops". One batch cost me 49k and if/when it sell will bring back about 35k and I gained 2.3 skillups on it. So thats roughtly 6k/1 skillup. Not so bad, but the problem is all the stuff that fills up my Moghouse and mules, and is a bitch selling..

Alchemy, something for me?

Did Dynamis Xarkabard yesterday. Got pretty good AFs, THF hands and BLM hat, but currency was bad. I died 12 times, hurray for sac-pulls, now i need to work on that buffer again.

Started leveling Alchemy yesterday also, its pretty fun still and not so expensive, since i can farm alot of the stuff on THF. Will update my progess in this blogg. I worked pretty hard on it today and dinged level20. Next recipe im going to skill up on will be Silent Oils, but that requires Slime Oils, that will be quite costly to buy, so I think I'll go farm those tomorrow.

After that we had Limbus planned. Today we we going to do Temenos-West.
Was a good run, got 5 coins and a material for SAM AF+1.

Fun day!

Started the day in Castle Oztroja, went so-so. Hit a coffer and got my THF AF pants. yet another piece I had forgot to get earlier. I got the AF2 versions already so I really have no use for these. Then hit Campaign, got my Ribbon (Level 4), after that we did Limbus with the LS. We split up and did Temenos East and Temenos North, was a smooth run, considering we only had 5 and 6 people total. We got both chips so we're now a bit closer to our next Ultima pop

After that we went to Behemoths Dominion, since window was open for King Behemoth, well, we were not the only ones.. There was 194 people in zone at one time when i checked.. Lag was bad, I was tired, and we were facing an army of German bots that somehow decided to switch over to the Midgardsormr server.. Mighty annoying!
(Update: We didn't get claim but it was a fair claim by Deeds, so thats fine.)

Back to BLM

Got a party invite, long story short, I am now level 64 on BLM.
After that I thought I would go buy the Horde Lullaby Song for my BRD since im gonna use it as sub in Dynamis, tagging stuff with sleep for TH4.
Well, the AH price was between 900-1000 gil, really cheap. I tried tried to buy one for 4000, and still no luck.. its not like its a lot of money but when people put things up on AH for 4 times the regular price i get upset, as much as someone undercuts a price with 4 times the regular price.. So I said "Screw this, im not gonna pay this bastard, I'll farm it myself." So I went to Castle Oztroja, stayed for 30 minutes, got the scroll and some other stuff that will net me about 65k once sold. Not bad for 30 min work, and I didn't pay that bastard for his overpriced scroll! Hurray!
After that I looked for a merit pt on my THF, but no luck so I went to Crawler's Nest [S], and got in the Campaign, figured since I should be able to get a new medal tomorrow it would benefit me getting some more Allied tags. We will see..

On a sidenote, turns out our Linkshell leader likes to be called Brenda, and told he's a naughty girl. I must remember that.

Burning stuff up..

.. is fun! So I have been leveling Black Mage again. Invites are ÜBER slow and I do mostly Campaign for exp right now, but i got it up to level 62, and im as gimp as ever.. Lol, I seriously need to spend some money on BLM gear. The other day I talked to Uchiha, explaining the thrill of having me on BLM/WHM as main healer in a exp-pt. I explained I was a professional Regen-magician and even tho no one was ever over 60%HP noone ever dies (that is true!). Just keep regen on everyone at all time and its damn MP efficient! He was a bit skeptical about it and said he'd never exp with my BLM. I just laughed!

New year, same game!

Yes, looks like 2008 will be another FFXI year for me, hehe.
Today my plan was farming some, doing the rank10 fight, and maybe some other stuff.. But I've been blessed with the hangover of the century!! So I ended up up doing stupid stuff (on and off since I had to go throw up now and then..) like attempting a solo rank10 figh on THF/DNC, lol. That may very well have been the most pathetic fight ive ever done.. I went down in 15 seconds.
I then spend the rest of the day in campaign, since you really have nothing to loose in there. Thats good for days when you have an IQ equal to a seagull.
